Scaling & Polishing

Six-monthly regular dental check-ups are important to maintain healthy teeth and gums. During your check-up, your dentist will also scale and polish your teeth.

Scaling removes dental plaque and tartar (plaque that has hardened and cannot be brushed away). This minimises the risk of teeth getting inflamed and prevent problems like gum disease, cavities and decay.

Polishing removes stains caused by food and drinks like coffee and tea. The tooth surface is also smoothen, making it difficult for dental plaque to accumulate.

Has it been some time since you last seen a dentist? Arrange for an appointment to see one of our qualified and experienced dentists at any of our dental clinics near you.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth can get stained by smoking, consuming foods and beverages like curry, coffee and red wine. As you age, teeth also become darker due to the changes in mineral structure of the tooth. In-clinic teeth whitening administered by a dental professional is a safe and effective way to achieve a bright smile.

During the procedure, a whitening gel is used to whiten teeth. Teeth sensitivity may be felt during or after treatment, especially when eating or drinking something cold. This side-effect should go away after some time.

Having good oral home care and keeping to your six-monthly scaling & polishing sessions by our dentists will help to maintain the whiteness of your teeth.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent solution for missing teeth. There are two components – the titanium fixture and implant crown. The fixture replaces the root of the tooth and the crown replaces the visible portion of your tooth. Once completed, your new teeth will look and feel like your natural teeth, and you can enjoy eating all your favourite foods.

Depending on the number of missing teeth and your oral health, our dentists and visiting specialists will recommend the most suitable option.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of teeth that most people get in their late teens or early twenties. When wisdom teeth are partially buried under the gum line and cannot grow out properly, they are potential food traps and become an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. Over time, infection sets in and pain may be experienced. Many times, partially erupted wisdom tooth is also removed to prevent decay on the adjacent tooth.

Depending on the position and growth of the wisdom teeth, extraction or surgery may be required for removal.

To keep them or to remove them? Consult our team of qualified and experienced dentists/visiting oral surgeons to check on your wisdom teeth today.
